What's Delivered

Important: ProjectWise 2023 is a full release, and includes downloads for Server Setups, Admin Setups, and Client Setups.

The core ProjectWise applications are delivered in the following three download packages:

ProjectWise Server Setups - contains ProjectWise Integration Server and other servers
ProjectWise Admin Setups - contains ProjectWise Administrator and other admin clients
ProjectWise Client Setups - contains ProjectWise Explorer and delivered integration modules

These download packages are available from the Software Downloads page under the following product groupings:

Includes downloads for ProjectWise Server Setups, ProjectWise Admin Setups, ProjectWise Client Setups.

ProjectWise Server Setups

ProjectWise Server Setups includes a single installer file that installs the following servers and services:

ProjectWise Integration Server
ProjectWise Caching Server

Bentley i-model Composition Server for PDF
ProjectWise Orchestration Framework Service

These items are also delivered:

ProjectWise Prerequisite Runtimes - installed automatically
CONNECTION Client - installed automatically, required for product activation and SES licensing
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 - installed automatically if needed
Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Express - for your Orchestration Framework database, if you do not have SQL Server

ProjectWise Integration Server	ProjectWise Integration Server is the core of the ProjectWise system. It is the server on which your datasources are created, and it is responsible for providing access to the ProjectWise database for all other ProjectWise applications. Every other ProjectWise application, whether it is a user client, an administrative client, or another server, is said to be a client of the ProjectWise Integration Server.
ProjectWise Caching Server	ProjectWise Caching Server can be used for hosting storage areas and/or for caching files from other remote storage areas.
ProjectWise Gateway Service	ProjectWise Gateway Service allows for the remote centralized publishing of datasource information and various routing and gateway type services for the ProjectWise network protocol. This service can be used when ProjectWise Explorer is installed on a different network subnet from the ProjectWise Integration Server.
Bentley i-model Composition Server for PDF	Bentley i-model Composition Server for PDF is used to create renditions (PDF, JPEG, TIFF, and/or CALS) from documents in the datasource. Bentley i-model Composition Server for PDF runs on top of ProjectWise Orchestration Framework Service, and uses ProjectWise InterPlot Organizer to create the renditions. Once configured, ProjectWise Explorer users can run on-demand jobs on selected documents, flat sets, folders, and/or projects, while administrators use the Bentley i-model Composition Server Administrator interface inside Orchestration Framework Administrator to create, schedule, run, monitor, and review batch renditioning jobs. Bentley i-model Composition Server Administrator is installed through the Bentley i-model Composition Server for PDF installer.
ProjectWise Orchestration Framework Service	ProjectWise Orchestration Framework Service is used to manage various document processing jobs, and gets installed automatically when you select to install: ProjectWise Integration Server with the Automated File Processing features turned on Bentley i-model Composition Server for PDF

ProjectWise Admin Setups

ProjectWise Admin Setups includes a single installer file that installs the following:

ProjectWise Administrator
ProjectWise Class Editor
Orchestration Framework Administrator
iCS for PDF Administrator
ProjectWise Analytics Data Upload Service
ProjectWise Example Dataset

These items are also delivered:

CONNECTION Client - installed automatically, required for product activation and SES licensing
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 - installed automatically if needed

ProjectWise Administrator	ProjectWise Administrator is the main administrative interface for ProjectWise and is used to create, configure, and manage ProjectWise datasources.
ProjectWise Class Editor	A separate application used to create a hierarchy of ProjectWise object classes.
Orchestration Framework Administrator	A separate application that administrators can install and use if they need to monitor the progress of automated file processing jobs of the ProjectWise Integration Server that have been configured and run from ProjectWise Administrator.
iCS for PDF Administrator	Installs the Bentley i-model Composition Server for PDF extension to Orchestration Framework Administrator, for remote administration of Bentley i-model Composition Server for PDF.
ProjectWise Analytics Data Upload Service	A separate application that is required to upload data to the ProjectWise Project Insights, which is one of the ProjectWise 365 services. Also available as a separate download, if a newer version becomes available.
